L’Académie a été construite en 1994 en tant que centre d’apprentissage et de collaboration. Aujourd’hui, c’est l’un des rares établissements autonomes de formation en entreprise du Canada. Son atmosphère ouverte inspire l’innovation et le changement dans la façon dont les gens se réunissent.

De nos jours, nous accueillons fièrement un grand nombre des meilleurs employeurs au Canada, qui sont également engagés à permettre la croissance et le perfectionnement de leur personnel.


Notre histoire


L’Académie a été conçue par Raymond Moriyama, un architecte canadien de renommée internationale. Travaillant en partenariat avec BMO, il avait pour but de construire un lieu inspirant qui transformerait la communauté de la formation et renforcerait l’esprit d’innovation et de collaboration qui règne à BMO.

Composée de trois zones principales, L’Académie comprend un Centre d’apprentissage, un grand hall dans lequel on retrouve deux vastes espaces de rencontre (le Grand salon et le Forum), ainsi qu’une aile hôtelière offrant 150 chambres et des aires de loisirs.

Appelé « L’Arc » en raison de sa forme particulière, le grand hall entouré de verre traverse l’édifice en son centre et relie les trois principales zones de L’Académie. Toutes les voies se croisent dans cette pièce qui symbolise l’avenir prometteur de BMO.

Nous nous sommes engagés à réduire à leur minimum les incidences environnementales de nos activités et à faire preuve de leadership en matière de développement durable. En 2016, L’Académie a été le premier édifice canadien à recevoir la nouvelle certification ISO 14001:2015 pour la mise en œuvre d’un rigoureux système de gestion de l’environnement. Nous vons instauré de nombreux programmes pour réduire la consommation énergétique et les émissions de notre édifice, et nous aidons BMO à demeurer carboneutre.

En 2017, nous sommes devenus bullfrogpoweredMD en nous alimentant à 100 % d’électricité verte.

Where is BMO IFL Located?

The IFL is conveniently located at 3550 Pharmacy Avenue, and is easily accessible from Toronto Pearson International Airport as well as the downtown core. For more information on our location or directions, contact our Front Desk at 416-490-4300.


Who do I contact to book a meeting or conference at the IFL?

Contact Event Reservations or call 416-490-4389 and one of our representatives will be happy to help you.


How do I plan my meeting or conference at the IFL?

Our hospitality provider will assign you a dedicated Conference Planner who will be your single point of contact in both the planning and implementation of your event. Your planner will work with you, taking care of all the details so you can focus on your meeting objectives. Please contact Event Reservations to get started.


What type of events can be hosted at the IFL?

We’re host to a wide variety of events, from intimate meetings to large Town Halls, learning sessions, strategic planning sessions, trade shows, as well as private receptions, awards galas and holiday events. Our facilities are very flexible and can accommodate a wide range of needs.


What room configurations are available?

We offer a range of room styles and configurations to accommodate the needs of your event. View our Room Capacity and Set Ups for more information on the different types of meeting rooms available.


Can I get access to the venue early to set up?

Yes. Talk to your Conference Planner to set up a time to access your venue and set up before your event.


Can I visit the IFL for a tour before booking?

Absolutely. One of our Sales Managers or Conference Planners would be happy to take you on a tour of the IFL so you can see all of the amenities, rooms and services we have to offer. To book a tour, contact Event Reservations or call 416-490-4389.


What method of payments do you accept?

We accept Interac, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, cash or company cheques.


Are you able to provide staff for my event?

Yes, the IFL is able to provide a wide variety of event staff. Your dedicated Conference Planner will be happy to discuss staffing requirements and pricing with you.


How do I pay gratuities?

We are a gratuity free facility. Our associates are as attentive as they are friendly. Your comfort is their concern and tipping is not required.


Does the IFL provide technical/audio assistance?

Yes. We have an extensive in-house inventory of audio-visual equipment, and a dedicated on-site team of professional, courteous and highly experienced AV/IT technicians who will help you set up, test and operate your AV presentation, webcast, videoconference, or secure a private network.


Does the IFL have a recycling program?

Yes, the IFL is ISO 14001 certified with an Environmental Management System.


What is the IFL smoking policy?

The IFL is a 100% smoke-free facility with outdoor designated smoking areas in the Courtyard and The English Garden.


Does the IFL have Wi-Fi?

Yes. The IFL provides complimentary Wi-Fi for all guests throughout the facility. If for confidentiality reasons you require a password-protected, secure private network for your meeting, we can provide you with a reliable and secure network for your exclusive use.


Is there a shuttle service?

If you need to shuttle guests between specific locations, the Front Desk or your Conference Planner can help arrange other transportation.


Does the IFL have on site accomodations?

The IFL offers 150 individual guest rooms with a variety of amenities that will make guests feel at home without having to leave the property. We are proudly supported by Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a leading hospitality company. Our Front Desk is open 24 hours a day to ensure your stay is comfortable and secure.


Does the IFL provide catering services?

Yes, we provide on-site catering services. Whether you are planning a banquet for 300 people or a coffee break for 20, we are happy to design a menu to suit your meeting purpose, theme, and personal taste. Your IFL Conference Planner will work with you to customize a menu to suit your event needs.


Do you meet special dietary requests or vegetarian cuisine/options?

We offer a wide selection of appetizing and satisfying dining options that meet most dietary needs. However, should you not be able to find what you’re looking for, speak with one of our Associates in the Dining room wearing a red tie – they are available to help with special dietary requests.


What are the Dining Room hours of operation?

  • Breakfast 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Dinner 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

What recreation activities are available at the IFL?

We offer many recreational activities through our Wellness Centre, as well as a Social Centre lounge where guests can relax and socialize. For a list of current activities please contact the Front Desk.


What are the Social Centre hours of operation?

Full service bar & light menu are provided from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. nightly.


What are the Wellness Centre hours of operation?

Fitness Centre & Locker Rooms, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
Pool Area, 6 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Hours are subject to change.


Are there spa services?

The IFL does not have an on-site spa however spa services can be arranged if requested.


Is there a pool?

Yes. The Wellness Centre has a 20 metre indoor lap pool as well as a whirlpool for guests to enjoy.


What facilities are included in your Wellness Centre?

Our Wellness Centre includes a fitness room with a complete range of work out equipment, 20 metre lap pool and whirlpool. We also provide change room facilities with lockers & showers. Complimentary towels and hairdryers are provided.


Do you have dry cleaning services?

Valet laundry/dry cleaning is available. Slips are provided in the guest room. Laundry dropped off to the Front Desk by 8:00 a.m. will be returned the same day. Charges will be added to the guest's account and can be settled at check out. Should guests wish to do their own laundry, a clothes washer and dryer are available at no cost. Detergent and fabric softener are available.


What if I require non-emergency medical or dental assistance?

Non-emergency medical or dental assistance can be arranged through the Front Desk with local physicians, optometrists and dentists who accept short-notice referrals.

What amenities are included in the guest rooms?

Each guest room includes free Wi-Fi, coffee maker with complimentary tea and coffee, hair dryer, extra blanket, scale, luggage stand, ice bucket/glasses, toiletries, iron and ironing board, windows that open, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning and cable TV.


I’d like to book a room to stay for a few nights, but I’m not part of a group meeting/event. Can I do that?

Sorry, the IFL does not offer guest rooms to individuals. You can only book a guestroom if you are attending a meeting or event.
